I am truly amazed at the growth I have seen in the Los Cabos area in the past 25 years.
When I first came to this area in 1985 I remember only one traffic signal in Cabo San Lucas and just a stop sign at the intersection of Manual Doblado and the Carretera (Federal Highway) in San Jose del Cabo. Now there are dozens.
There are also many franchises such as Mc Donald’s, Burger King, Domino’s Pizza, Costco, Home Depot, Office Depot and many car dealerships like Honda, Hummer-Cadillac & Mercedes Benz.
There are several world class golf courses with famous named designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Tom Fazio, Tom Weiskopf, Greg Norman and several others.
There are 2 marinas now in Los Cabos that can hold over 1000 boats.
I would suggest to anybody that is interested in investing in Los Cabos Real Estate to take their time and be very selective as to what & where they buy.
There are so many projects coming on line that there will be an incredible selection in condos, homes and residential building lots. Keep in mind that the newer developments could have construction taking place in and around them for the next 5-10 years.
How much time will you actually be using the property?
If it is just 2-4 weeks a year then you may seriously want to consider renting the property out while you are not using it as even a 2 bedroom condo can cost $10,000 – $20,000 a year in HO fees, electric bills, etc.The yearly costs for some homes are easily double those figures.
